Multi-player Diffusion Games on Graph Classes

چکیده
We study competitive diffusion games on graphs introduced by Alon et al. [1] to model the spread of influence in social networks. Extending results of Roshanbin [8] for two players, we investigate the existence of pure Nash equilibria for at least three players on different classes of graphs including paths, cycles, grid graphs and hypercubes; as a main contribution, we answer an open question proving that there is no Nash equilibrium for three players on m×n grids with min{m, n} ≥ 5. Further, extending results of Etesami and Basar [3] for two players, we prove the existence of pure Nash equilibria for four players on every d-dimensional hypercube.

Resource Graph Games: A Compact Representation for Games with Structured Strategy Spaces (Extended Abstract)
There has been increasing interest in using game theory to model real-world systems, and in the computation of game-theoretic solution concepts given such a model [14]. The efficiency of game-theoretic computations depends crucially on how games are represented. For multiagent systems with large numbers of agents and actions, the standard normal form game representation is not a practical optio...
متن کاملDoomsday Equilibria for Games on Graphs∗
Two-player games on graphs provide the theoretical framework for many important problems such as reactive synthesis. While the traditional study of two-player zero-sum games has been extended to multi-player games with several notions of equilibria, they are decidable only for perfect-information games, whereas several applications require imperfect-information games. In this paper we propose a...
متن کاملOn the Existence of Weak Subgame Perfect Equilibria
We study multi-player turn-based games played on a directed graph, where the number of players and vertices can be infinite. An outcome is assigned to every play of the game. Each player has a preference relation on the set of outcomes which allows him to compare plays. We focus on the recently introduced notion of weak subgame perfect equilibrium (weak SPE). This is a variant of the classical ...
متن کاملExtending Finite Memory Determinacy to Multiplayer Games
We provide several techniques to extend finite memory determinacy from some restricted class of games played on a finite graph to a larger class. As a particular example, we study energy parity games. First we show that under some general conditions the finite memory determinacy of a class of two-player win/lose games played on finite graphs implies the existence of a Nash equilibrium built fro...
متن کاملDecision Algorithms for Multiplayer Non-Cooperative Games of Incomplete Information
Extending the complexity results of Reif 1, 2] for two player games of incomplete information, this paper (also see 3]) presents algorithms for deciding the outcome for various classes of multiplayer games of incomplete information, i.e. deciding whether or not a team has a winning strategy for a particular game. Our companion paper (Peter-son, Reif, and Azhar 4]) shows that these algorithms ar...
